Date with Peppery Crabs & Wild Hogs

21 April 2007

After waiting for a couple of weeks, finally its the day we are going to have our PEPPER CRABS! Lydia was very nice to treat 8 of us to a fantastic meal near Eunos area. So we met up at Eunos MRT

From left to right:
(Liling, Lydia, Joyce and Me! I just dyed my hair and cut it shorter just 3 hours before meeting them. Hehehe)

Life Crabs before transforming into Pepper Crabs

Some of the dishes we ordered: You Tiao, Ee Mee, Mee Goreng, Sambal Kang Kong

6 Medium Black Pepper Crabs for our enjoyment. It's really different from the other Black Pepper Crabs out there. We reached there around 430pm, and by 5pm, the queue has already start to form!! And Lydia told us that as soon as the crabs are sold out, they'll just close for business, as that is really their signature dish. Everyone who goes there 99% is for their black pepper crabs.

The whole group of us:

Here are the 9 of us. Me, Catherine, Anna, Qiwen Evelyn, Joyce, Lydia, Liling and Joanne.

And we had Ice-cream / Banana-split at some other cafe after the meal.

As I was having the Ice-cream, my friend smsed me and asked if I was free for movie that night. I was very happy as it's been quite some time since I met him and he took the initiative to sms me and ask me out. Heheh.. He asked me what movie I wanted to watch, so I chose Wild Hogs.

The movie was to start around 9pm, so prior to that I walked around with Catherine in the Eunos area, and I reached Marina Square about 845pm. I bought pop-corn and ice tea and waited for my friend to arrive. When he arrived, and bought the tickets, we found out it was on the FIRST ROW! WOW... First time for me to be seated so near to the screen. Though it was not very comfortable, it was manageable for me. The whole show made me laugh and laugh. There's bound to have something in each scene to tickle your funny bone. A highly recommended movie!
After the show, we went for some supper. He brought me to have some Hokkien Mee. And when we reach there, the stall was already preparing to close, and she has packed the food into containers. We were lucky enough to get the last packet! Otherwise, would have been a trip wasted.
Its been a very nice and good saturday, with great food, great friends, great movie, great company!
