This message is for the ladies out there.
Today whilst waiting for a friend at a bus-stop. Something terrible happened. A lady had her handbag snatched by a thief.
Everything happened so quickly. I didn't even have time to respond. I had my back facing the lady. So couldn't see what happened. I guess she didn't hang on tight to her bag.
The guy jus ran from behind. Scoop the bag, and ran as fast as he could. Obviously he's been observing his surrounding for some-time, as the moment he took off, there wasn't a single car on the road. So he quickly ran away. Of course, the girl gave chase, but she returned back empty-handed. She called the police, and just as my friend reach, the police car also came.
Poor girl.... Well, ladies, please hold on tight to your bags. No doubt Singapore is a safe country with low crime rates, but doesn't mean no crime. There are still some black sheeps out there.
Thinkin if I was the one sitting at the seat, I would be the one to have my stuffs taken away. Still rather shocked by it.
Yay... Can't believe how times fly.
Mijn precious blog is 1 years old already. Thanks to all who left their mark behind on my tag or comments.
Hope to have more interesting stuffs to share with everyone in the coming year.
Well, to start things off... I'm gonne be posting pictures of my life.. From young to present in my different postings.
Here's one...
Guess who.... Hehe...
Yup! Its me... I was born with lotsa hair.
Me and my mom. I won the 1st prize of Category C (aged 12 to 18 months) in 1983.
Yupz, its offically my 24th birthday today! YAY...
19th July 2006. A warm, sunny day.
Was pleasantly surprised in the morning when I received an email from my Marcomm Manager, Serena, wishing me Happy Birthday, cause I thought no one would know.
Lunch time, Serena, Wilson, (my Property Admin Manager. I report to both of them directly) took me out for lunch. We went to Keppel Club. A western food restaurant. The ambience is pretty nice and food's nice too. We had a good chat and laughed a lot. LOL... Well, it's today that the 3 of us found out that both my managers are born in August. Wilson is born on 12th, Serena is born on 13th! What a coincidence. Serena also mentioned most of her friends are Cancerians. Maybe that's why I can click so well with the both of them. Heee...
Well, in the office, another coincidence. Both of them are born in the year of the rabbit! But 12 years of difference between Serena and Wilson!
Dinner time
Dad and mom prepared a feast tonight. We had chilli crabs, sharks fin, fish, and bread for the chilli crabs. YUMMY!!
Here's the feast. from left to right.
Veggies, Chilli Crabs, Bread, Chilli Crabs Sauce, Chilli Crabs, Sharks' Fin, Birthday Cake, Fish in the center.
hehehe... Real Sharks' Fin are used okay! Someone brought over from China. Don't remember who.
Coming Wed will be my birthday, and nearing to the day when I first started blogging a year ago.
Guess nothing special will happen again this year. Most likely to be having dinner with my folks, just nice is their off day on Wed.
What would I wish for? Maybe a beautiful bouquet of tulips sent to my workplace. Wish for a man to love me and cherish me. Wish my work would be smooth-sailing, and being able to stay long with them. I like my managers. Wish my parents health and luck for 4D and ToTo. Wish my bro success in his studies. Get distinction in all subjects as he usually does. People around me happiness. Hmmm... and wish for me... To remain sexy, beautiful and SLIM down!! LOL... From new year resolution to birthday wishes, always the same eh. kekeke
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!
Well, I took quite a few photos during my orientation. So this post will showcase more photos. I'm pretty proud of the few photos I took over at Dolphin Lagoon. Shows the dolphins in action. Hee...
The Merlion, standing at the height of 37 meters.
View from top of the Carlsberg Sky Tower.

Hehe... My hands steady right... LOL I think they're very nicely taken. Any comments?
Anyway, these are pink dolphins as u can see from their belly, and they are actually born grey, and turns pink as they mature. Oh ya, next time if you want to get close to them, do bring extra clothing there to change as a few guests may be asked to volunteer to get close to them during the show!
Hmmm.. The last time I went to Sentosa for FUN, was almost a year ago, when I brought a Holland friend there to the Underwater world. You can find the photos under the title '2 photos' 21st Sept 2005 or 'Meeting again after 10 over years' 22nd Aug 2005.
Anyway, today is a day of enjoyment, fun at Sentosa. And getting paid for it!! Well, its actually part of our orientation programme. Where we go to different attractions, become tourists for the day to gain better knowledge of them and to see how great our front line colleagues' services are!
Only been to a few attractions prior to joining Sentosa. I been to Underwater World, Dolphin Lagoon, Fort Silso, Musical Fountain and the Beaches.
Today, I'm exposed to many other new attractions. I'll just give a short summary about the place.
Fort Siloso - For those who haven't been there in years, you should go again. Now we have tram service to bring guests up the slope, which would take bout 10 min to walk up. There are 3 tunnels for you to explore, but due to time constraint we only went to 1. The theme store, 'The QuarterMaster Store' sells anything related to world war and even have model planes!
4D Magix - My fave attraction! We all know about 3D movies, how the chair will move and stuffs. Well, this is even more interactive! Currently the movie being shown is about pirates, and throughout the show, at appropriate moments, the chair will shake or move up and down, eg. when the captain hit someone, you'll feel like you're being hit as the chair moved, then as the story goes, you can feel like your legs are being attacked, when the scene shows crabs attacking a poor pirate; and images will seem to appear right in front of you, that you want to push it away. My fave part, getting splashed by water when one of the guy falls into a puddle of water. LOL.. happened about 3 times! How interactive can a movie get!!
Images of Singapore - Before your own tour, you'll be brought to a place to watch a short clip bout Singapore in the past. Pretty nice effects, and towards the end, a cannon will fire some rings of smokes at the audience. If you can, reach out and touch it. Then, you can just walk through the exhibits, and take pictures. There's even a riskshaw puller there to take photo with you.
Merlion - Upon entering, you'll be handed a coin. Walk through a short passageway, go in and watch a short intro about how Merlion comes about, goes through a door and you'll see many mini merlions. Here, you'll slot in the coin given to you at the entrance and a ticket will be dispensed. It'll state if you've received mystery gift A, B or C. Then you can take a lift up and see the scenery. Go down to the gift shop and exchange the ticket for your mystery gift.
Hmm... I got a merlion fan. Shan't tell you what A, B and C offers. Hehehe...
Carlsberg Sky Tower - Its just a rotating tower where you can sit and enjoy the scenery. It stand at 110m tall. Though it rotates pretty slowly, I still got a bit dizzy from it.
Butterfly Park - See butterflies flying around you, and displays about 3000 species of some of the world's most beautiful and rare insects.
Underwater World - Showcasing more than 2,500 fishes from more than 250 species of marine life to be found around the region. Latest exhibits are the Tiger Sharks. I still love the Sea Angels.
Dolphin Lagoon - Pink dolphins showing off their acrobatic skills, and guests can get upclose with them. 3 guests were kissed by the 3 dolphins, of course, they are wet to the neck.
Its a wonderful, wonderful experience. Sentosa has really changed a lot. The most latest attraction is the Luge. Go find out what it is!
Its PHOTO TIME!!
Newbies on tour. Taken at Sentosa Cove.
Me and Theresa, colleague from Property dept. on old lorry near Images of Singapore
Qiuli, Theresa, Me and Siti. My group members!
Been with Sentosa Cove for 2 weeks already, times fly when you are busy.
Yesterday had to do OT for the first time with them. Fast eh. But was not doing my usual work stuffs. More into helping the sales team at our Sales and Information Center with admin work.
Had a great time there. And something unusual happens.
*For your info, at Sentosa Cove, we sell lands to buyers to build their own house*
A man came to our sales office to look, 2 sales staffs (from external co) attended to him. And this is what we found out.
- He's 14 year old.
- He WALKED for 1.5hrs to get to our office.
Well, the fact is that our sales office is really ULU. Currently, there's no shuttle service from anywhere into the sales office area. So he WALKED from 1330 and reach our office at 1500 under the hot sun! Oh my goodness. I think I would've fainted half-way.
Its his interest to go for showflats. But... To walk so long... He's not really in the right mind. Anyway, after showing him around, we decided to drive him out to the causeway gantry to let him board the bus back to harbourfront. My colleague drove him, and I sat behind him. LOL... Just in case for safety sake... Never know what might happen.
Am pretty happy for the day, first time that I get paid for doing OT and not getting time off. Actually I had the choice of whether getting time off or getting paid, of course I choose money. I still have 7 days of annual leave to use. More than enough. Heehee.. Well, a month plus of OTs on Saturdays... Hmmm addtional hundreds of dollars coming in! YIPPEEE...
But last friday was a very busy day. In the morning, had an hour briefing on how to raise purchase order and stuffs. Then had to help my 2 big bosses PA with some admin stuffs. I ran up and down to get FedEx envelopes, boxes to send things out to prospects. Some overseas, some local. 100 over packages to be send!
Then also some scanning of documents, filing, but I didn't manage to finish up my own pile of documents to be filed... Thought I have cleared them, but another pile just came in. Oh man.... And a few invoices to be done and sent to finance. Gotta do it tomorrow. Hope there's no last min work popping up, so I can finish my stuffs!
Anyway, must say that I enjoy myself so far, though busy, that's what actually helps the time pass easier.
